As co-founders of one of the country's foremost firms specializing in aviation tort law, Stuart M. Speiser and Charles F. Krause have written some of the most authoritative publications pertaining to aviation negligence, many of which have been cited by the United States Supreme Court and appellate courts throughout the nation.

In the highly specialized area of aviation law, Messrs. Speiser and Krause have published the definitive three-volume Aviation Tort Law, as well as the highly instructive article in AmJur Trials entitled Helicopter Accident Litigation. In addition, Mr. Speiser chronicled the strategy behind the firm's handling of such landmark cases as the aircrash disaster at Tenerife, Canary Islands, and the raid on Entebbe, Uganda, in the widely read book Lawsuit.

In the area of general tort law, Stuart Speiser, Charles Krause and Juanita Madole joined to write the third edition of the three-volume Recovery for Wrongful Death which along with the Recovery For Wrongful Death And Injury - Economic Handbook stand out amongst Mr. Speiser's numerous publications pertaining to the law of torts. Messrs. Speiser and Krause also co-authored the comprehensive and frequently cited ten-volume American Law Of Torts.

"A clear majority of States...permit recovery for loss of society...the recent trend is unmistakably in favor of permitting such recovery. [S. Speiser, Recovery for Wrongful Death 218 (1966).] Thus, our decision to permit recovery for loss of society aligns the maritime wrongful death remedy with a majority of state wrongful-death statutes."

U.S. Supreme Court in Sea-Land Services, Inc. v. Gaudet(1974)
